Competitive Events
A major part of FBLA is learning new skills by means of competition. FBLA offers several (57 and counting!) competitive events that pertain to everything from Public Speaking to Programming. Click here to learn more about what competitive offerings FBLA provides.

September
  • 9/20/07 at 5:10pm - SFLC Interest Meeting
    • Members interested in attending the State Fall Leadership Conference should report to Mrs. Water's room after school for a brief meeting.
October
November
  • 11/9/07 at 5:10pm - NFLC
    • This year's national fall leadership conference will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio
  • 11/13/07 at 5:30pm - General Assembly
    • Members will take part in American Enterprise Day activities, including various workshops with the chapter officers.
  • 11/14/07 at 5:10pm - Wizard's Day Money Due
    • Money is due today for all those interested in attending the FBLA Wizard's game on 12/7/07. $28
  • 11/15/07 at 5:30pm - American Enterprise Day
    • FBLA Educational Holiday
  • 11/26/07 at 5:30pm - RSVP for Inductions Deadline
    • After this date we will no longer be accepting RSVPs for the Inductions Ceremony.
  • 11/28/07 at 10:00pm - FBLA Member Inductions
    • Guest speaker Creig Northrop will provide his insights on success in today's world. Inductions will be catered and open to friends and family members as well.
December
  • 12/5/07 at 5:10pm - Preliminary Testing Begins
    • Do you want to compete at regionals? You may test in as many events as you wish
  • 12/7/07 at 7:00pm - FBLA/DECA Wizards Day
    • Meet all your FBLA friends from across Maryland, Viginia, and Pennsylvania in this exciting game between the Washington Wizards and the Suns!
  • 12/14/07 at 7:30pm - Preliminary Testing Ends
January
  • 1/8/08 at 5:30pm - General Assembly
    • This meeting will feature River Hill FBLA alumni
  • 1/23/08 at 5:10pm - Event Agreement Form Due
    • The form is due with your signature to Room 142
  • 1/24/08 at 5:10am - Meeting for Competitors
    • At this meeting, you will receive information regarding your test and we will answer any questions you may have regarding Regionals
February
March
  • 3/1/08 at 5:00pm - Region IIC Conference
    • This year's regional conference will be at Mariotts Ridge High School.
  • 3/10/08 at 2:15pm - State Officer Caucuses
  • 3/27/08 at 2:15pm - SLC Meeting
    • This meeting is only for those attending the State Leadership Conference and will be held in Mrs. Waters room
April
  • 4/8/08 at 2:15pm - SLC Meeting
    • Meeting for all SLC competitors! Attendance is mandatory!
  • 4/10/08 at 3:00pm - 2008 State Leadership Conference
    • This year's State Leadership Conference will be held in Hunt Valley this year. River Hill has won the State Championship title for the past four years (a total of six out of nine years)so come out and together we'll win the State title once again!
  • 4/18/08 at 2:15pm - States Celebration
    • A celebration for all members who attended the 2008 State Leadership Conference will be held immediately afterschool in Ms. Waters' room (room 142). This is for states competitors ONLY.
  • 4/29/08 at 6:00pm - NLC Parent Meeting
    • A MANDATORY meeting for all nationals participants and their parents will be held in Ms. Waters' room at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a checkbook. If you do not attend this meeting, you will NOT be able to attend the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

  • 5/28/08 at 2:20pm - Chapter Officer Elections
    • The 2008-2009 FBLA Chapter Officer Elections will be held immediately afterschool in Ms. Waters' room (room 142). Please be dressed in professional business attire. Applications for chapter office positions will be available shortly.
