River Hill HS Students Recongized With Top Honors At FBLA National Leadership Conference

Twenty-two students and chaperones from River Hill High School attended the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee from July 14-17, 2010. The conference brought together more than 7,000 students and advisers from throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Department of Defense Dependent Schools Europe. The attendees participated in leadership workshops, campaign rallies, regional meetings, and competitive events. The attendees competed in the following events that span all areas of business and business related industries:

From this pool of nearly twenty students, Tim Fisher, an incoming junior at River Hill High School, obtained fourth in the nation for Business Presentation. Other than the competitions, River Hill High School sent senior Karthik Krishnan to represent Maryland FBLA at the national level. Karthik campaigned to become the 2010-2011 FBLA National Treasurer and was recognized with this title at the Awards of Excellence Ceremony on July 17^­­, 2010.
